Position Indicators

You know all those lights that turn on to tell you if an elevator has arrived at your floor and what direction it is headed. Well I have also made a bunch of those.

These stainless steel plates were laser cut and then I filled in the arrows and numbers with colored epoxy to fill them in. I then sanded down the face of it to remove any excess epoxy. On the back side of the plate I made some metal brackets that hold the lights in place.

This one was fun because the building had some textured wavy walls and they wanted the pattern to be continued onto the position indicators. So to make these I machined the plastic to have the same wavy texture.

Here are a couple more to show some of the many different styles and materials that I have used depending on the customers requirements.
